Regulated agent
Maantie Trans holds Traficom’s Regulated Agent status, which means that the cargo we transport can bypass queues at the airport once the security screening has been completed, or if the customer is designated as a Known Consignor. A Regulated Agent does not require separate inspections, as the transport chain is secured throughout the entire journey. Our customers can trust that their shipments are transported securely, via the most direct possible route to the aircraft and onward to destinations worldwide. If there is any issue with the cargo that causes an airline to refuse it for transport, our expert will, upon request, arrive on site to resolve the matter.
x-ray screening of consignmetns
The contents of consignments are always primarily inspected by X-ray screening. For consignments containing particularly dense material, an explosive trace detector is used. We continuously update our staff’s expertise in accordance with Traficom’s requirements. We can carry out security screenings well in advance using our customers’ equipment, ensuring that loading onto the aircraft is as fast and smooth as possible. We also always make sure that all required documentation accompanies the shipment.
A safe way to operate
Although cargo transport in Finland is generally safe, we have also taken into account the threat posed by theft. Our drivers have security training in accordance with IATA requirements, and our fleet is equipped with appropriate security features. Our drivers know how to minimize the risk of robbery and how to act correctly even in threatening situations.
